Stories that haunt, puzzle, and stay with you.
The word chiaroscuro comes from the Italian for “light-dark” — a dramatic painting technique where contrast is everything. Artists used it to shape mood, to lead your eye, to reveal truths hidden in shadow. That’s exactly what this podcast aims to do.
In Chiaroscuro, light and darkness coexist. We explore the eerie, the mysterious, the criminal — but also the psychology, the why behind the what, the unsettling stories that say something about who we are. It’s not just about horror or crime — it’s about understanding the shadows, and what happens when you shine a light into them.
This podcast dives deep into the unexplained and the dark side of life. Somewhere between true crime, mystery, and horror, this show will explore strange stories — some well-known, others long forgotten — with an eye for detail, curiosity, and storytelling that sticks.
This project lives separately from my blog, but the two will connect. Each episode will have a written companion post with extra details, references, and images, for those who like to go beyond the audio and dig deeper.
I’m still building everything from the ground up — format, voice, tone — but if you’re into haunting tales, unsettling cases, or stories that don’t let go… you’re in the right place.
Want to follow along or support this project? I’ll soon share more about how to do that through Apoia.se or Catarse.
For now, stay close. For something wicked this way comes.
